Terri N. Watson is an Associate Professor in the Department of Leadership and Human Development at The City College of New York. She earned a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership at Florida Atlantic University (FAU). Her dissertation, Florida's Definition and Subsequent Calculations of a Public High School Graduate: A Critical Race Theory Analysis, was named Dissertation of the Year for FAU's College of Education. She began her career as an educator in a Harlem middle school over 25 years ago. Her research seeks to transform schools into 'Beloved Communities.'
