Student Resources

The Psychology Executive Office has compiled the following resources to support its students and address frequently requested information. 

If requirements and/or instructions are not provided for any items, please read the most updated GC Bulletin for detailed information about procedures or contact the APO of Academic Support and Student Progress ( for academic matters.

Please note: In accordance with CUNY's guidelines surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19), the Psychology Executive Office will be working remotely for the foreseeable future.

Student leaders work with the Executive Office to put on a series of cross-CUNY psychology events annually. These include First-Year Dinners in the fall and spring semesters, a Teaching of Psychology conference in the fall, and an All-Psychology Student Research Day in the spring semester featuring the wide-ranging research of doctoral students in psychology. Upcoming events will be included on the Program Events page

Professional Development

The Psychology Program fosters professional development through pedagogy workshops offered through the Graduate Student Teaching Association and by involving students in organizing an annual Pedagogy Day conference here at The Graduate Center. 

The Graduate Student Teaching Association also provide a free eBook, How We Teach Now: The GTSA Guide to Student-Centered Teaching

The Psychology Program encourages students to join the Psi Chi International Honors Society, which offers grant support for graduate student research and conference travel.
