GC’s Nursing Program Named Among Top Schools by Nursing Schools Almanac

The Graduate Center’s doctoral program in nursing was named a top regional program in the Nursing Schools Almanac’s 2018 rankings of the best nursing schools in the United States.

The Graduate Center’s program is among the top 15 percent in the Mid-Atlantic region, and is one of the top 20 programs in New York state. The Nursing Schools Almanac bases its rankings on data collected from more than 3,000 institutions, focusing on factors such as an institution’s academic prestige, perceived value, the breadth and depth of its programs, and student scores.

Students from The Graduate Center’s program have received many honors in recent years. This summer, three students were awarded grants of $20,000 each by Jonas Nursing and Veterans Healthcare. Students from the program won two of the three top prizes presented at the New York Academy of Medicine’s 2018 Forum on Inter-Collegiate Regional Events (FIRE) for Ph.D. Students and Faculty.
