Michelle Fine Comments on "Whiteness in America" (Video)

Distinguished Professor Michelle Fine (Psychology/Urban Education) recently appeared on CUNY TV to offer academic perspective on how white people approach their racial identity.

The theme dovetailed with discussion of "Whiteness Project: Inside the White/Caucasian Box," a new documentary airing on PBS.

Joined by director/producer Whitney Dow and host Bob Herbert, Fine said that "...it's hard for many white people to see structural racism, to understand [examples like] Ferguson as an instance of racism."
