Free CUNY Dropbox Account
Dear CUNY faculty and administrative staff,
CUNY is pleased to announce that Dropbox is now available to active faculty and administrative staff members across the University, free of charge. In the coming days, you will receive an invitation from Dropbox with a link to activate your account. Please note: this is the only way to claim your free CUNY Dropbox account. Use your CUNY Login (@login.cuny.edu) credentials to activate the account. After you activate the account, you can use those credentials to log in at dropbox.cuny.edu (preferred) or dropbox.com or via the Technology Services pages for faculty and staff.
Dropbox is a workspace that helps you keep all of your content in one place—from class syllabi to large research data sets—and makes it easier to work together with students, other faculty and staff, and external partners. Dropbox can integrate with other applications, including Blackboard and Microsoft Office 365 for Education. Faculty and staff will have unlimited storage.
Everyone will also have access to Dropbox Paper, which allows co-editing in the same document in real-time. You can also add task lists, timelines, and previews of images, spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, and PDFs within the same document.
Please remember that the terms of the CUNY Acceptable Use of University Data in the Cloud Policy apply to your use of Dropbox and other CUNY cloud solutions.
Support and instructions on using Dropbox are available from the Dropbox Help Center web pages. CUNY also provides links to some helpful FAQs, tutorials and videos on the CUNY Dropbox web pages.
