GC Forward - Issue # 10

GC Forward

Dear Graduate Center community,

It has been wonderful to see so many faculty and staff at the Graduate Center and the Advanced Science Research Center this week. We look forward to welcoming students back next week.

Some important updates and reminders:

Update VaxPass Each Day You Come to Campus: The Everbridge app now displays a CUNY VaxPass for everyone whose vaccine information has been submitted and verified in CUNYfirst.
Before coming to campus each day, you must open the app and request a new VaxPass. Have the day’s VaxPass open and ready for review by the CUNY screener.

Please note: Employees will receive an email from the Office of Human Resources when the vaccination records that they uploaded to CUNYfirst are approved. Those employees can use the VaxPass. Everyone else will need to enroll in the CUNY COVID-19 testing program and will have received an email with details and a personalized link to make an appointment.

CUNY Mask Mandate: The chancellor has issued clear guidance about the CUNY mask mandate [cuny.edu]. It is our collective responsibility to follow the policy and to reinforce it. If you encounter an issue with someone who refuses to comply with the policy, please bring your concern to your supervisor or your executive officer.

CUNY COVID-19 Testing: All faculty and staff members who have not yet provided proof of vaccination in CUNYfirst, or whose vaccination records have not yet been approved by Human Resources, must participate in CUNY’s testing program, regardless of your flexible work agreement.

You should have received an email from no-reply@cleared4work.com describing how to enroll in the program. Be sure to check all your email accounts and your spam folders. Testing sites are operating [cuny.edu] at 20 CUNY locations, including the Graduate Center.

Tests are valid for seven days and results will be sent through the CLEARED4 platform. You should plan to schedule weekly tests to maintain building access.

Details are in this letter [cuny.edu] from the chancellor and this Testing FAQ [cuny.edu].

We appreciate all that you are doing to maintain the health of the CUNY community as we move into a busy and exciting fall semester.

Sincerely,

Robin L. Garrell, President

Julia Wrigley, Interim Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs

Brian A. Peterson, Interim Senior Vice President for Finance and Administration
