Research Associate Professor Suzanne van der Feest Received a PSC-CUNY Grant

Research Associate Professor Suzanne van der Feest (Linguistics, Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences) received a PSC-CUNY grant for research titled "From Babbling to Language: Linking Infants’ Speech Perception and Production." The project investigates whether very young infants process sounds and sound patterns differently, depending on their own articulatory capacities and experiences with producing sounds and syllables.

It will be part of a larger project in the Developmental Speech Perception Lab and the Developmental Neurolinguistics Lab investigating the link between speech perception and production development in the earliest months of life.

The grant started on July 1, 2021.
