GC Announces The Dean's Merit Scholarship

The Graduate Center, CUNY is very excited to announce a new scholarship for our master’s degree students: The Dean’s Merit Scholarship.

Building on the success of the four Provost’s Merit Scholarship for the M.A. in Liberal Studies in the pilot year, the Dean’s Merit Scholarship will now be open to students enrolling in any master’s programs at The Graduate Center, including the M.A. in Liberal Studies. The Dean’s Merit Scholarship will be awarded to ten or more recipients, and will supersede the Provost’s Merit Scholarships.

The Dean’s Merit Scholarship will cover $5,000 of tuition support per year for two years, and recipients must register for a minimum of six credits per semester and remain in good academic standing, as outlined by The Graduate Center Bulletin. The scholarship cannot be deferred.

The scholarship will be awarded solely on the basis of academic merit.
