The CUNY Graduate Center will host the return of the vaccine van organized by NYC Health and Hospitals Tuesday, October 12 through Sunday, October 17 from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. The vaccination van will be parked in front of the GC on Fifth Avenue and anyone can visit to get vaccinated. It is walk-up, first come, first serve service. Appointments are not necessary or accepted.
NYC Health and Hospitals will have Pfizer and J&J vaccines so that patients have the choice and are eligible to get the single-dose or opt for the two-dose vaccine. For patients who get the Pfizer vaccine, NYC HHC will help them schedule their second dose appointment at a convenient site for the patient before they leave. The van is also offering booster doses to those who are eligible.
Patients receiving a first dose are eligible for a $100.00 incentive for getting their first shot. These individuals will receive a handout with their appointment number and instructions on how to obtain the incentive via the web for a digital reward card or via phone for a physical card.
Individuals coming to get vaccinated need to bring any form of ID (including national passport) and documentation of vaccine eligibility (document showing age, employee ID, physician note, etc.).
New York City is coming back strong with COVID-19 Vaccines. Safe. Free. Easy.
