Speaker: Nantina Vgontzas, Postdoctoral Researcher at AI Now Institute, NYU
Nantina Vgontzas is a postdoctoral researcher at NYU's AI Now Institute and received their PhD in sociology from NYU in 2020. Their research sits at the intersection of political economy, labor and social movements. Situating ethnographic findings from the United States and Europe in comparative and historical perspective, they study the shop floor politics of global supply chains as they relate to crises in care and climate infrastructures. Their current book project focuses on Amazon's tech and logistics networks.
