Institutional Research and Effectiveness
The Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness at the CUNY Graduate Center:
Conducts research that supports decision making and planning;
Partners with other offices and programs in projects that assess institutional effectiveness;
Maintains and reports on GC statistics including admissions, enrollment, and graduation;
Responds to external surveys and ad hoc requests for statistical information;
Works with the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs to develop and produce the Graduate Center’s Performance Management Process (PMP) reports;
Manages external program reviews and regional accreditation processes;
Assists the Outcomes Assessment Committee in coordinating the Graduate Center’s learning outcomes assessment process.

Marie Burrage, Director of Institutional Research and Effectiveness, provides leadership in the institutional research and program evaluation functions of the Provost's Office. She designs and conducts research studies, provides analyses of institutional data, communicates the results of research to the campus community, and manages the doctoral programs' external reviews.
Kevin Miller, Assistant Director of Institutional Research and Effectiveness, assists in research design, survey administration, data collection, data analysis, report preparation, and communication of results of research to the campus community, and maintains the office webpage.
