CUNY Faculty Diversity and Inclusion Conference at The Graduate Center, CUNY

In March 2019, CUNY held its fourth CUNY Faculty Diversity and Inclusion Conference at The Graduate Center, CUNY. The theme, "Minding the Gap: Retaining & Sustaining the Academic Community," focused on how effective diversity and inclusion practices can positively impact campus culture and increase student success. 

Graduate Center Interim President Joy Connolly welcomed CUNY faculty, staff, and students to the event, which included 30 concurrent sessions and 18 poster sessions. Other nationally recognized scholars who presented included Freeman Hrabowski, president of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and Michael Benitez, a dean at the University Puget Sound. Participants enjoyed engaging dialogue and learning about new ways to enhance their campus communities.
