On Wednesday, 4/22/09, at approximately 10:35AM, two of the three suspects involved in the 4/6/09 office thefts attempted to enter The Graduate Center. The suspects were detained, NYPD was called and the suspects were taken into custody. The NYPD Detective assigned to the case reported that both suspects confessed and provided valuable information concerning the third suspect. He also said that there was a possibility that some of the stolen property might be recovered.

On Monday, 4/6/09, between 2:20PM and 3:15PM, there were four separate reports of office theft in the building. Pocket books, wallets and portable electronic devices were taken. In three of the cases, the property was left unsecured in unoccupied and open offices. Read more

On Tuesday, 8/12/08, at 10:20AM and 10:25AM, an unidentified male approached two staff members in their offices. He asked them for money using the pretext that he needed cab fare to visit his pregnant girlfriend who was beaten by her father. Read more
