Description


The Ph.D. Program in Economics is seeking part-time help to assist the Assistant Program Officer (“APO”), Executive Officer, and Deputy Executive Officers.  Reporting to the APO, the College Assistant will carry out all the duties necessary to maintain optimal efficiency in the operation of the Economics Program.  Duties will include, but not limited to the following:
 
-Coordinates and assists with daily operations
-Helps students and faculty with their needs (in person and remote)
-Responds to and send out email and phone inquiries
-Maintains and updates GC Economics website, alumni database, student records
-Assists with setting up for events; i.e. seminars, alumni day, meetings, recruitment
-Makes photocopies and delivers documents to various departments
-Maintains paper and digital file system
-Creates newsletters and related documents
-Assists APO as needed

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
-High school diploma
 
Preferred Qualifications:
The preferred candidate should have:

-Some college a plus
-Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
-Ability to exercise discretion and make informed judgment decisions in the practice of administrative duties
-Excellent computer skills (Mac and PC), word processing (MSWord), Adobe Acrobat and database (Excel) skills
-Excellent clerical skills (i.e. filing organization and attention to detail)

Salary Range

$15.61 per hour
