Student Health Insurance

Dear Friends,
 
Starting in January 2009, health insurance coverage will be available for doctoral students working at CUNY in eligible job titles. The enrollment process will take place this fall.  We will do everything possible to make it simple and straightforward.  That said, we have never been in a position to offer health insurance coverage before, and there may be some bumps as we work out the mechanics of the new system.  Please be assured that if you need help knowing if you are eligible or in enrolling, we have staff members ready to help you. We will also have two public meetings where representatives from the New York State Health Insurance Program, the stage agency sponsoring the coverage, will be available to answer your questions directly.  We will inform you as soon as the dates of those meetings are set.
