Vice President for Information Technology Robert D. Campbell came to the Graduate Center in 2006 from Rock Valley College in Rockford, Illinois, where he worked for eight years as the associate vice president for information technology services. A sought-after conference presenter on emerging IT issues and technology-related disciplines, Campbell has been asked to share his expertise with members of the U.S. House of Representatives Science Committee, the National Science Foundation, and the European Commission’s Institute for Prospective Technological Studies. Campbell’s career began at Manatee Community College in Venice, Florida, where he taught mathematics and computer science from 1979 to 1993 and served as director of the division of mathematics, science, technology and business from 1993 to 1998. He is a member of the Association of Information Technology Professionals and EDUCAUSE, the information technology association for administrators in higher education, among other professional organizations. Campbell earned an A.A. from Pensacola Junior College, a B.A. in mathematics and a B.S. in computer systems science from the University of West Florida, and an M.S. in mathematics from Ohio State University.
