Description

Todd Reeser, French, University of Pittsburgh. In this talk, Professor Reeser will historicize queer theory’s insight that lesbianism is often linked to problems of representation by focusing on links between questions of reading and Platonically-inflected female-female erotic love in the Renaissance. Cosponsored with the Ph.D. Program in French.
