Professional Interests

How to improve reproductive health by enabling individuals to reach their own fertility intentions in a healthful manner, including:

    • Access to high quality contraceptive services
    • Appropriate management and prevention of sexually transmitted infections
    • Maternal and child health including safe abortion services
    • Access to and use of appropriate cervical cancer screening
    • Developing vaginal microbicides to prevent sexual transmission of HIV
    • Evaluating the safety and acceptability of contraceptive options for HIV-positive women
