Inquiries and Application Procedure
The policy of the Doctoral Program in Psychology is to consider students who show considerable promise of succeeding in the program. Each applicant's entire application package will be thoroughly examined (including GPA, General GRE scores, Psychology GRE scores, letters of recommendation, personal statement, as well as research and clinical experiences). This program is highly competitive and accepts approximately 5 students each year. The program is open to full-time students only. Students cannot attend on a part-time basis. Admission is for the fall semester only. Applications must be received by the Graduate Center Admissions Office by December 1st.
Please note that application requirements (transcripts, recommendation letters, GRE scores) must be submitted to the Graduate Center Office of Admissions (code 2113) - NOT to John Jay College.
All test results (with the exception of the Psychology Subject Test) must be received by December 1st in order to be considered for admission.
