Bill Cabin, a public health doctoral student in the health policy and management track, will present his paper “Walking Toward Knowledge: The Use of Evidence-based Walkability Measures to Understand Healthy Aging” at the Association for Gerontology in Higher Education’s 39th Annual Meeting and Educational Leadership Conference, in March 2013. Cabin will also present a poster, “Profit and Performance in Medicare Home Health: Research Results,” at the Gerontological Society of America’s 65th Annual Scientific Meeting in San Diego in November.
Alison Kliegman, a public health doctoral student in the community, society, and health track, presented twice at the 2012 American Evaluation Association Conference: for a brown-bag session, “How Can Evaluators Promote a Client-Centered Approach While Maintaining Rigorous Methods?” and at a roundtable, “A Large Community-Based Organization’s Mission to Design an Annual Funder Report Through Diverse Methods.”
Sungwoo Lim, a public health doctoral student in the epidemiology track, with six coauthors published a paper, “Assessing the causal effect of Section 8 housing vouchers as the active ingredient for decreasing homelessness in veterans with mental illness,” in Health Services and Outcomes Research Methodology, 2012. doi: 10.1007/s10742-012-0100-3
