Microsoft created a welcome video to introduce Office 365 and its features. If you have never used Office 365 before, we recommend that you take a look. Note: SkyDrive is now OneDrive. Also, keep in mind that not all features of Office 365 are enabled so your menu options may be slightly different than what you see in the video.

Microsoft has free online training webinars and videos that are available to you to view at your leisure.
You can also download printable Office 2013 reference guides.

Microsoft also created their own support resource page for Office 365. From this page you can access troubleshooting options and view previously reported Office 365 issues.

For off-campus access to library databases and journals, use your GC network (not Office 365 email) account.
To sign in to the Interlibrary Loan System (ILLiad), use your GC network (not Office 365 email) account.
If you currently have Interlibrary Loan notifications sent to your gc.cuny.edu email address, please update your address in ILLiad to your Office 365 email address.
If you currently have library circulation notifications sent to your gc.cuny.edu email address, please update your email address at the Graduate Center Library's Circulation Desk.
You will have until June 1, 2015 to transfer your email from your old GC account to your new Office 365 account. After June 1, 2015, your old account will be deleted and you will not be able to access it. Therefore, if you want to keep any of your old email, you must transfer it during the transition period.
Email sent to your old GC account will continue to be redirected to your new Office 365 account until 3 months after your date of graduation or December 1, 2015, whichever date is later. Email sent to your old GC email account after that time will not be delivered.
After February 17, 2015, any redirection or forwarding of email that you configured in your old GC mailbox will cease to work. You will have to look in your new Office 365 mailbox to see your GC email after that date.
No, the Office 365 system configuration precludes automatic forwarding of email from your GC Office 365 email account to an external email account in order to safeguard the University's ability to communicate effectively via email. For more information, see the University-CIO-Letter
For the best experience, we strongly recommend that you connect to your Office 365 email account using Outlook Web App, or through an email program that supports Exchange ActiveSync access such as Outlook 2013, Outlook 2010, Outlook for Mac 2011, Apple Mail 10.6 Snow Leopard, Apple Mail 10.7 Lion, or Entourage 2008 Web Services Edition.
Connecting to your Office 365 based email account using POP3 or IMAP4 only lets you send and receive mail. You can't access your contacts, tasks, or calendar when you connect to your account using POP3 or IMAP4. For instructions on how to do so, visit Microsoft's support page
Three months following your date of graduation, your Office 365 account will be converted to graduate status. Graduates have access to the following features: email, calendar, contacts, a 50 GB inbox, personal archiving, e-Discovery, anti-virus, and anti-spam. You will have view or read access to your other Microsoft applications but you will not be able to edit or create any new documents. If you wish to continue using the full versions of the other Office 365 products, you will need to purchase licenses from Microsoft.
The new domain is GRADCENTER.CUNY.EDU. If your email address was previously JDOE3@GC.CUNY.EDU it should now be JDOE3@GRADCENTER.CUNY.EDU.
Unfortunately, there may be a few instances where the information displayed before the @ symbol will also change. Due to Office 365 email restrictions, certain characters like the accent, circumflex, and tilde will not be used.
If you have a GC email address in Blackboard, it will be updated to reflect your new Office 365 email address after June 2015. If your email address in Blackboard is not a GC email address, it will remain unchanged.
As of February 17, 2015, all email that is sent to your existing GC mailbox will be automatically redirected to your new @gradcenter.cuny.edu mailbox. This redirection of email will continue until 3 months after your date of graduation or December 1, 2015, whichever date is later.
No. The GC Self-Service Password reset tool allows you to change or reset your GC network password via the web. It is not affiliated with your Office 365 account.
The GC IT team is working on a self-service password reset solution for the Office 365 accounts. In the meantime, if you need to have your Office 365 password reset, please email the helpdesk at email@example.com. Make sure that you include a scanned copy of your student ID for ID verification and an alternate email address so that you may receive your new password. The alternate email address cannot be your @gradcenter.cuny.edu or your @gc.cuny.edu email address.
Note: While we work to address the self-service password issues in Office 365, please contact the Help Desk directly instead of using the link for password reset in Office 365. Be sure to include an alternate email address where the Help Desk can send your new password. This will insure that your login issues are addressed in a timely manner.
